BIO: Anna’s love for fashion, fitness and lifestyle journalism began at an early age. Since she was young, flipping through the pages of a magazine was her escape from the normalcy of everyday life and she reveled in the idea that one day, she would one day be a magazine editor.
When Anna was 16 years old, she studied abroad in Stockholm, Sweden. She was accepted into the Rudbeck Gymnasium music program as a vocal major. In addition to her music program, Anna focused her studies around art and photography. Living just 15 minutes by train from downtown Stockholm, Anna also developed her personal style by observing European fashion at its finest, as Stockholm is quickly becoming one of Europe’s fashion capitals.
Today, Anna is a senior at the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) after spending the summer in New York City, working as an ASME (American Society of Magazine Editors) intern at Fitness Magazine. In the fall of 2013, Anna was offered an internship at InStyle magazine, where she worked as part of the editorial team until December 2013. During the summer of 2013, Anna worked as an editorial intern at People StyleWatch.

Work: Today, Anna is the creative director of the University of Illinois independent newspaper, the Daily Illini. She is also the head photographer of Her Campus Illinois and a marketing and communications intern at the UIUC Office of Technology Management.
Past Work Experience: In the fall of 2011, Anna scored a media-focused internship with the217.com and in the spring of 2012, she was hired as the site’s producer. From 2011 to 2012, she also became a travel/fashion blogger for the Illinois branch of Her Campus Online, a Style Guru Intern for CollegeFashionista.com and a member of IMPULSE Magazine’s media/editorial team. Then during Anna’s sophomore year of college, she became an editor for CollegeFashionista.com, an entertainment writer for CollegeMagazine.com,and the Head Photographer on the executive board of Her Campus Illinois. In the spring 2013 semester, she was appointed as the Vice President of Public Relations for her sorority Kappa Delta, where she works to maintain her chapter’s reputation, website, photography and social media.
